The Montenegrin Helsinki Committee for Human Rights (CHO) called on the Supreme State Prosecutor Milorad Marković and the Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović to do everything in their power to avoid further serious damage to Milivoje Katnić's health.
"CHO considers the attitude of the ZIKS Administration towards Mr. Katnić to be criminal. What is the problem and what is the obstacle to him being examined by doctors he trusts, as well as receiving medication from those who are undoubtedly capable of endangering his health?
For the two of you, as the heads of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office and the Special State Prosecutor's Office, CHO has a simple and clear message: Your task is to prove Milivoje Katnić's guilt, not to let Milivoje Katnić die in prison and thus free you from this painful obligation.
We hope that you are aware of the responsibility you have," the CHO said.
