Misdemeanor report against a person who sent a threatening and offensive comment to the President of the Budva Municipal Assembly

Officers of the Police Directorate, the Budva Security Department and the Berane Security Department, in relation to a comment of threatening and offensive content posted on Facebook that was sent to the President of the Budva Municipal Assembly, Petar Odžić, carried out coordinated activities within their jurisdiction and, in cooperation and upon the order of the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane, filed a misdemeanor report against Zoran Bubanja from Berane.

"Namely, after police officers became aware of a threatening and offensive comment directed at the President of the Budva Municipal Assembly, which was published by a person named Z.B., the same was reported to the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane, who stated that Z.B.'s actions did not constitute elements of a criminal offense for which prosecution was being undertaken ex officio, but that a misdemeanor report should be filed against this person for a misdemeanor under Article 7 of the Law on Public Order and Peace," the Police Directorate said in a statement.
