The League of Nations match between Cyprus and Kosovo was interrupted for several minutes because of a banner found in the stands of the stadium in Larnaca, which read "Kosovo is Serbia".
The banner hung by Cyprus fans was quickly removed, reports Kosovo online.
The head referee stopped the match at the appeal of the Kosovo team, and the match was suspended until the police intervened.
Kosovo, by the way, defeated Cyprus away from home with a score of 4:0.
