Federal authorities have announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect in the shooting near Brown University, as the search for the gunman continues with no arrest made.
The FBI said the reward is being offered in coordination with local and state law enforcement as investigators pursue new leads and review evidence gathered since the attack. Officials urged anyone with information, including video footage or tips shared online, to come forward.
The shooting prompted an extensive police response and heightened security across the campus and surrounding areas. One person was injured and treated at a hospital, while students and staff were advised to shelter in place during the initial manhunt.
Despite multiple searches and interviews, authorities said the suspect remains at large. Investigators are continuing to analyze surveillance footage, digital data, and witness accounts in an effort to track the individual’s movements before and after the shooting.
University officials said additional safety measures remain in place, including increased patrols and expanded support services for students. Classes and activities have gradually resumed, though anxiety remains high within the campus community.
Law enforcement officials stressed that the investigation is active and warned the public not to approach the suspect if spotted, urging anyone with relevant information to contact authorities immediately.
