The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, sent a congratulatory message to the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, and to all citizens of Montenegro on the occasion of the Statehood Day - July 13, Milatović's office announced.
"On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my sincere congratulations to you and the citizens of Montenegro on the occasion of the celebration of the Statehood Day.
Today, Montenegro and the United States are NATO allies, committed to building a safer and more prosperous future for our countries. We have an extraordinary opportunity to expand our partnership, investing in key sectors such as energy, infrastructure, defense and security, and technology.
May the coming years deepen our economic and defense cooperation and contribute to a greater degree of peace and stability in the Western Balkans," President Trump's congratulatory message reads.
