An earthquake measuring around five on the Richter scale has hit central Turkey, near the capital Ankara, seismological services said.
The quake struck as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan were holding an official meeting in Ankara.
According to preliminary data, the epicenter was registered at a depth of around seven kilometers. There is no information about material damage or injuries at this time, but the relevant services are monitoring the situation on the ground.
Users of the EMSC platform report that the earthquake was strongly felt in Ankara, with witnesses estimating that it lasted between seven and ten seconds.
