Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that he had spoken by phone with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
He expressed condolences to Aliyev over the downing of an Azerbaijani plane in Kazakhstan.
Zelensky, in a post on the X network, said that Russia must give clear explanations and stop spreading disinformation.
Recall that an Azerbaijan Airlines plane flying on the Baku-Grozny route crashed on Wednesday, December 25, in Kazakhstan near the city of Aktau, where it attempted to make an emergency landing. The accident killed 38 people and injured 29.
It is believed that the plane was shot down by Russian air defenses.
