The Ministry of Diaspora has today announced a public competition for co-financing programs or projects in the areas of cooperation with diaspora-emigrants.
"The subject of the competition is the distribution of funds allocated by the Ministry of Diaspora to co-finance programs or projects implemented by diaspora-emigrant organizations in the following areas of cooperation with diaspora-emigrants: preserving national identity and belonging to Montenegro; preserving cultural identity; strengthening educational, scientific, cultural, and sports cooperation; information and networking; protecting the rights and position of diaspora-emigrants; improving economic partnerships," states the Ministry of Diaspora.
Eligibility to participate in the competition is available to diaspora-emigrant organizations that:
Have been registered for at least two years prior to the publication of the public competition;
Have established goals and activities in their founding or other acts in accordance with Montenegro’s policies and commitments towards diaspora-emigrants;
The name of the organization or the content of the founding act clearly indicates its connection with Montenegro;
Have implemented at least two projects or activities in the two years preceding the publication of the public competition that contribute to the realization and strengthening of cooperation with Montenegro in the above-mentioned areas of cooperation with diaspora-emigrants.
The total amount of funds available for distribution through this competition is 320,000 euros.
The deadline for submitting applications for the competition is 30 days from the publication of the Public Competition, i.e., no later than April 24, 2025.
