In the Zagorič Forest Park today, an abandoned pit bull attacked three owner's dogs.
Information about this was shared on his Facebook profile by civic activist Jovan Ulićević, who explained that it was clear that the pit bull was used for dog fighting, because bite marks were visible on it.
"The municipal police are not competent, as we were told. The guys from the Protection and Rescue Service reacted immediately and sent a police patrol, but by the time they arrived, we had walked another 3-4 laps around the largest park in Podgorica," reads Ulićević's Facebook post.
The problem of stray dogs, especially abandoned dogs that were previously used in illegal fights, is not new and activists, volunteers, and dog owners deal with it every day.
Activist Marta Darmanović, who has been tackling this problem for a long time, is the organizer of tomorrow's protest at 12:00 in front of the Police Administration building (behind the Mechanical Engineering School).
"This is the seventh in a series of planned performances as part of the action that we started on October 4th, International Animal Protection Day, and which we will end on December 10th, International Animal Rights Day. All interested parties are welcome," the invitation states, among other things.
