The Government decided in a telephone session to declare the day after tomorrow, August 14th, a Day of Mourning for the death of Private Dejan Božović, who died today in a tanker truck overturning while helping to put out a fire.
Junior Sergeant Dejan Božović (42) from Danilovgrad was killed, and Sergeant Marko Iković (43) suffered serious injuries while engaged in extinguishing a fire in the Kuče area.
Junior Sergeant Božović was a member of the 1st Infantry Battalion, married and a father of four children. He had been serving in the Army since 2006, and served as a gunner on a 120mm mortar.
Condolences on his death were sent by the highest state officials.
