Confirmed information from Antena M: Extraordinary Government session due to airport concession at 7 p.m.

The Government announced that it will hold an extraordinary session tonight at 7 p.m. regarding the Tender Commission for the concession of Montenegrin airports, which confirms this morning's information and announcement from Antena M.

SD MP and one of the leaders of the European Union Boris Mugoša previously stated on the X network that a session of the Tender Commission was scheduled for 10 a.m., which, as we learned, has since been canceled.

Let us recall that the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which the Government hired as a consultant in the process of awarding the airport concession, seriously doubts the credibility of the tender process and says that receiving such messages is problematic and sends a negative image of the entire process.

They informed the Government that it will have no choice but to abandon this procedure unless it receives clarification from the Tender Commission regarding the evaluation of the technical bids and the disqualification of one of the two bidders.

Yesterday, a controversy broke out on social media between Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Niko Đeljošaj.

Spajić said that the World Bank-IFC's statement was a serious warning and that questioning the regularity of the Tender procedure for the concession of the Airport of Montenegro could harm Montenegro's reputation, its European path and the closure of Chapter 5 - Public Procurement.

"I call on the Tender Commission to carefully consider the expert opinions of the World Bank-IFC, so that we can bring this important procedure to an end, in the best interest of the citizens and Montenegro," Spajić said in a post on social media.

After Prime Minister Milojko Spajić's tweet, Đeljošaj also spoke out. Đeljošaj claimed that all members of the Tender Commission were working professionally and legally.

As he said, each member of the Commission scored points, and he "as the rules of procedure require, only presented to all members of the Commission how they were scored".

“If IFC believes that the members of the Tender Commission should be just figures and extras to confirm whatever IFC, or Incon’s partner Bodin Bulatović, sends, I think they have misjudged us,” said Đeljošaj.

He said that, as far as he is concerned, at least nine other members of the commission who have shown professionalism and, as he stated, did not accept that Bodin and IFC are managing them, are calling on the Prime Minister’s Office to replace the Commission as soon as possible.

“We call on the Prime Minister’s Office to replace the Commission as soon as possible with people who think that they should accept everything that comes from the IFC, and we will not be a hindrance,” added Đeljošaj.
