DPS Parliamentary Club: We will initiate the control hearing of Bečić, Marković and Novović

AUTHOR: M.J.
Bearing in mind all the circumstances that followed yesterday's action by the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) in the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK), we will request that the Deputy Prime Minister and BOK coordinator Aleksa Bečić, the Supreme State Prosecutor Milorad Marković and the Special State Prosecutor be heard before the Security Committee Prosecutor Vladimir Novovi announced from the Club of Deputies of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
In particular, they added from that party, in the context of the fact that the arrest of the director of ASK was announced on the pages of the media concern Vijesti hours before she was taken into custody, as well as that Bečić welcomed the arrest of the director of ASK, which was not confirmed by the competent institutions , which exerted inappropriate political pressure on the judicial authorities,
The practice of government representatives targeting people who should be deprived of their freedom and suggesting it to the competent authorities is not in accordance with the legal and ethical standards of a democratic society and the rule of law, and it raises the suspicion that the judicial authorities are working under the pressure of media-political influences. Anyone who has violated the law should be held accountable, but the obvious agenda by which the judicial authorities are guided when choosing priority cases must not be ignored - said the DPS.
Kaki said, hundreds of criminal complaints have been submitted since 2020, and there are still no answers, almost none of them.
The leaders of the prosecution organization of Montenegro owe the citizens answers to the question - who procured the Kalashnikovs and prepared the attack on the institutions on August 30, how the shares of Luka Bar were bought, who is responsible for the million-dollar damage in CEDIS and Elektroprivreda, as well as for 30,000 new employees in to the state administration, and what about the investigations into multi-million dollar fictitious contracts in the Coal Mine - the announcement reads.
The DPS adds that everyone should know that inhumane behavior towards the accused is against international conventions, regardless of whether the suspicions are well-founded or not.
Because the presumption of innocence is one of the foundations of the rule of law - they concluded.
