Huter: If it is true that Montenegro lost IPA funds, Joković should resign

We call on the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management to urgently speak out regarding the information that Montenegro, due to ignorance and inactivity in the area he oversees, has lost 2.4 million euros from IPA funds, said DPS minister Oskar Huter on the X network.

"If the information is true, Joković, because of the damage Montenegro is suffering, must immediately be dismissed if he does not resign," Huter stated.

This information was published this morning by Standard, stating that Brussels sent a strong message to the Montenegrin authorities last week – by withdrawing 2.4 million euros from IPA funds that were allocated for the forestry sector. With this, the EU clearly signaled to Minister Vladimir Joković that the European Commission does not wish to cooperate with ministries and administrations that do not respect the law and fail to fulfill obligations from the EU Accession Program.

This decision is the result of a failure to respect the law and to meet the obligations of the EU Accession Program, which, as the EU emphasizes, represents a serious step backward in the process of European integration.
