Ibrahimović in Sarajevo: I apologize to the citizens of BiH, the ministers did not represent the majority Montenegro

The President of the Bosniak Party (BSCG) and Deputy Prime Minister Ervin Ibrahimović, on behalf of the European, civil, civilized and anti-fascist Montenegro, which respects its neighbors and their constitutional order, apologized to the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bisera Turković, and to all to the citizens of that country due to the presence of ministers Aleksandar Damjanović and Marko Kovač to celebrate the unconstitutional "day of the Republic of Srpska".

Ibrahimović met with Turković in Sarajevo and on that occasion he conveyed his conviction that the ministers at this meeting did not, nor could they, represent the majority of Montenegro.

Today I am in Sarajevo, first of all in the capacity of the president of the Bosniak Party with his associates, but also as the vice-president of the Government that we from the Bosniak Party voted for on April 28, 2022, and which was supposed to return Montenegro to the European path and for which we are, because of moving away from that path and the agreed priorities, voted no confidence, spoke with the Honorable Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mrs. Bisera Turković. On that occasion, I apologized, on behalf of European, civil, civilized and anti-fascist Montenegro, that Montenegro that respects its neighbors and their constitutional order, to Mrs. Bisera Turković and to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the presence of two ministers of the Government of Montenegro to celebrate the holiday that The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared it unconstitutional and informed them of their belief that they did not and could not represent the majority of Montenegro at this gathering - Ibrahimović pointed out.

He emphasized that Turković repeated his publicly expressed position that he was surprised by the presence of two ministers of the Government of Montenegro at the commemoration of January 9 as RS Day, because the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared that holiday unconstitutional, as well as that their presence damages the relationship between the two otherwise friendly countries. and neighboring countries.

Turković pointed out that it is very important that the Bosniak Party, as a party that is absolutely dedicated to the Euro-Atlantic agenda, through its active activities in the Government of Montenegro, continues to contribute to the preservation of Montenegro's European path, raising the standard of living of citizens and strengthening institutions and the rule of law.

Honorable Mrs. Turković thanked for the visit and expressed her belief that, regardless of this unfortunate event, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to build, nurture and constantly improve good and friendly bilateral relations, as well as that Montenegro, despite the political challenges in in which he is, to preserve his Euro-Atlantic, civil and democratic path - added Ibrahimović.

The meeting was also attended by MP Amer Smailović and advisor to the president of BS Izet Ćorović.
