Although it was supposed to be in Cetinje, the first session of the First Regular Session was held in Podgorica today, where MPs will discuss several laws.

At the beginning, the Speaker of the Parliament Andrija Mnadić appealed to resolve the situation in Šavnik "either to introduce compulsory administration or to find a way to hold elections at two polling stations".

"The people of Šavnik have been protesting for 20 days, I appeal to all competent institutions to introduce compulsory administration or to find a way to hold elections at the remaining places in that municipality. No one needs the blockade of the NK-ŽB road", he said.

The agenda was supplemented with 16 points proposed by the Government, and the Proposal for the Law on the Identity Card was adopted, among other things.

The MPs voted Andrija Nikolić as the president of the Inquiry Committee, while Milan Knežević was elected as his deputy, and the members of the committee were also voted in.

“Today we have done a great thing. I expect a lot from this Inquiry Committee. It took us two years to get to this point,” said Mandić.
