Knežević-Perišić: The local government of Nikšić continues to insidiously spit on the dates of Montenegrin history

Independent member of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly, Tanja Knežević-Perišić, reacted after she welcomed Independence Day to that city without a single Montenegrin national flag. She said that the local government, to which, as the first man of the town Marko Kovačević said, May 21 "is not an important day", continues to rudely, treacherously, inhumanly spit on the dates when history changed in Montenegro, because they I simply don't like history.
The project of at least two generations of citizens of this country, the restoration of independence, by force and arbitrariness of a few people, wants to be presented as just an ordinary day. Last year's "decoration" of 50 meters, from the municipality to the hotel "Onogošt", when they lined up appropriate colors for their feelings, along with the municipal and state colors, and put a white cloth with "May 21" written on it, showed all the immaturity, backwardness and rudeness those who, almost every day, pathetically announce that they are the representatives of "all the citizens" of this sad city - stated Knežević-Perišić.
According to her, this year's boycott of decorating is a continuation of that ugly message.
Which we witnessed even today, sad tirades about "beloved Montenegro" by the president of the country and the self-proclaimed president of the Assembly, and even sadder and more unfortunate president of some vampire government. In public, I am telling you by full name and surname: shame on you! It is not enough for you to destroy everything that you have touched and that has passed in this country, that you use the benefits of your position, that you manage the resources of that "hateful" country, but you do not have an ounce of awareness, understanding and respect for the people for whom May 21 - St. day. The day we rebuilt our country, the day we paid off the debt of those thousands who were killed in 1918 and the thousands who died in the Second World War. A day of so much unconditional love for your country, which you will never know. No matter how much you celebrate another country, which obviously doesn't want you, and live in this one, which you don't want, and "dominate" you kindly, you will be deprived all your life of what we have: a sense of deep belonging, unconditional love and pride in being Montenegrins, of all religions and nations, who love their home the most - Knežević-Perišić pointed out.
She said that the flags, which they do not want to put on the streets of our cities, have long had their place in our hearts.
Where you will never, ever throw them out! - concluded Knežević-Perišić.
