Mašković: We will initiate talks about replacing Injac

AUTHOR: M.J.
The mayor of Podgorica, Olivera Injac, did not submit the report on the work of the local self-government for the past year within the legal deadline, said Social Democrat councilor Miloš Mašković and added that he would initiate discussions within the opposition about her dismissal.
Mašković said at the press conference that the Secretary of the Assembly informed them that the Report on the work of the Mayor, the administration of the Capital City and services for the past year had not been submitted by April 1, which is contrary to the Law on the Capital City and the Capital City Statute.
Article 104 of the Statute envisages the dismissal of the mayor if the report is not submitted to the Assembly for consideration within the stipulated period - said Mašković.
As he said, failure to submit that report speaks of irresponsibility and dysfunctionality of the city administration.
The consequences can only be felt by citizens, which is why there must be political and administrative responsibility - said Mašković.
He said that he will initiate discussions within the opposition about the dismissal of Injac.
And as things currently stand, there is a mood among certain clubs of councilors from the ruling majority to support such an initiative - Mašković added.
He said that this is a precedent and that the previous city administration submitted this report to the Assembly within the prescribed period.
