MFA: So far, there are no requests from our citizens to return to Montenegro from Iran or Israel

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens of Montenegro avoid traveling to Israel, Iran and surrounding countries until further notice, the MFA announced tonight.

"The Ministry is in constant communication with partner countries, allies and honorary consuls in the countries of the region, with the aim of monitoring the situation and providing support to Montenegrin citizens. According to currently available information, no Montenegrin citizens have been injured," the statement said.

A Montenegrin citizen, who is staying in Jordan, contacted the honorary consul of Montenegro in that country to inquire about the possibilities of possibly leaving that country.

"So far, there have been no requests for consular assistance or expressed interest in returning to Montenegro by our citizens from Iran or Israel," the MFA emphasized.

Our citizens who are there are advised to exercise increased caution and take all measures to preserve their personal safety, including following official information and instructions from local authorities.

Citizens in Israel are recommended to follow information via the “National Emergency Portal” portal (accessible from Israeli IP addresses), as well as airline instructions via the virtual assistant managed by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also provides important contacts for Montenegrin citizens.
