The session of the Defense and Security Council has ended.
-The Council dismissed Brigadier General Zoran Lazarević and appointed Vuksanović as Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, President Jakov Milatović told reporters.
Today's session, in addition to the members of the Council, was attended by Zoran Lazarević and Defense Minister Dragan Krapović at Milatović's invitation.
The President's Office also previously announced that the members of the Council would be introduced to the Report on the Use of Units of the Armed Forces of Montenegro in International Forces, Peacekeeping Missions and Other Activities Abroad for the Past Year.
In a statement to the media after the session, Milatović also emphasized that a decision had been adopted to increase defense spending in line with NATO membership.
