Nikolić: Spajić and the government should decide according to Maslenikov's allegations

AUTHOR: M.J.
Russian Ambassador Maslenikov's statement that Russia intends to confront the countries of the Western Balkans if they insist on becoming EU members deserves a reaction from the government and the MFA, said the head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Socialists Andrija Nikolić.
The government should not ignore the disturbing messages of the official diplomatic representatives of the Russian Federation, especially since the Prime Minister was praised as a Eurosceptic in the Maslenik interview, and someone who stated in Davos that the fact that Montenegro follows the EU's foreign policy, and that it joined the sanctions against Russia, it did not bring any benefit to the country. Citizens should know whether this is really Spajić's position or an incorrect interpretation by the Russian ambassador, said Nikolić.
As he says, the latest views of the Russian ambassador to Montenegro only confirm that "it is naive to expect that Andrija Mandić, no matter how much he may appear to some as the Dalai Lama, from a high institutional position, will blow into the sails of Montenegro's European path."
On the contrary, the long-time head of the pro-Russian Democratic Front will do everything to prevent Montenegro's entry into the EU, just as he did when it came to Montenegro's membership in NATO. By the way, the information presented by Ambassador Maslenikov, that the support of Russia is growing among the citizens of Montenegro, if it is correct, it should not be surprising - for three and a half years, people who directly or indirectly came out of the Russian coat of arms have been in power, and hence the propaganda that is financed from the same center, leaves its traces on public opinion as well, Nikolić concluded.
