A day after Montenegro closed only one negotiation chapter and after the prominent Montenegrin director Danilo Marunović was expelled from Serbia because of a column he wrote, Andrija Mandić received the award from Aleksandar Vučić, said Sonja Popović, DPS spokesperson and MP in the Parliament of Montenegro, in a statement.
"It is clear that this is not a coincidence, but an SNS award for obedience and servility, or rather an SNS recognition for carrying out tasks that represent the interests of Belgrade's official policy, which primarily mean obstructions on Montenegro's European path.
We have witnessed these obstructions many times in the past period, since the ruling PES led by Spajić enabled the Chetnik duke to occupy the chair of the first man of the Parliament of Montenegro and agreed to be a puppet in Mandić's hands," Popović said.
She says that nothing that Mandić does is a coincidence.
"Not even the fact that Montenegro is constantly quarreling with its neighbors, which is why we receive protest notes, which is why Croatia has blocked us from closing the negotiation chapter, and declared him, along with Knežević and Bečić, persona non grata.
This is a picture of a backward, retrograde, anti-European policy whose symbol is the current speaker of parliament, and which Milojko Spajić has been obediently approving all this time, because of which, as we see in concrete examples, only and exclusively Montenegro suffers the consequences.
In conclusion, the matrix is familiar, while Mandić and his entourage have their mouths full of stories about the European Union, they do everything to prevent Montenegro from becoming the next member, because whenever our country takes a step towards the EU, Andrija Mandić does something to take it back at least two steps," Popović concluded.
