President Jakov Milatović welcomed the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, at the Podgorica Airport, who arrived on an official visit to Montenegro, the Office of the President of Montenegro announced.
President Mattarella will be welcomed tomorrow, with the highest military and state honors, at the Residence in Cetinje.
After the talks between the two presidents and the meeting of the delegations of the two countries, President Milatović and President Mattarella will open the exhibition "Montenegro and Italy: a meeting of two peoples" at the Ministry of Culture.
The upcoming official visit of President Mattarella is a confirmation of the excellent and friendly relations between Montenegro and Italy and the continuation of President Milatović's strong diplomatic activity on Montenegro's path towards full membership in the EU by 2028, the Office of President Milatović announced.
