Radojičić: We will try to be everything that the current government in Nikšić was not

AUTHOR:M.J. GDNUS

At today's press conference of the European Alliance for the upcoming local elections in Nikšić, the leader of the list, Ivan Radojičić, was presented.

The current councilor in the Nikšić Municipal Assembly and MP in the Parliament of Montenegro, Nikola Zirojević, announced that the European Alliance was formed as a vision of the leadership of the three parties to encompass much more than what is political and to ultimately create a non-partisan alliance that will also include those people who do not want to belong to any political party, emphasizing that he believes that they have succeeded in this vision for now.

"The European Alliance has proven to be a very successful story in the local elections so far in Gusinje, Kotor, Budva and certainly in Podgorica, which gives us reason to be convinced that the European Alliance will overall be a successful story in our city of Nikšić as well," said Zirojević.

According to him, Nikšić has unfortunately been captured in the past four years by a bad and harmful government that continues to govern the city.

"The good spirit of Nikšić, for which this city was recognized throughout the former Yugoslavia, and I would say even beyond those borders, has been captured. Culture in Nikšić has been captured, sports in Nikšić have been captured, and everything that made Nikšić Nikšić Nikšić has been captured," said Zirojević.

He said that what hurts all the people of Nikšić the most is that society in Nikšić has never been more divided.

"The April 13 local elections in Nikšić are an opportunity to put an end to such a government, such a system of governance, such a unfortunately civilizational collapse in our city. April 13 is an opportunity to return the good spirit of Nikšić, to return culture, to return sports, to return a healthy lifestyle, to return everything that once adorned our great city of Nikšić," Zirojević emphasized.

He stated that the European Union is the guarantor that everything that adorned Nikšić after April 13 will return.

"Ivan Radojičić is a very well-known face to the people of Nikšić and I think it is completely unnecessary to talk about him to people who know him well. Ivan is first and foremost recognized as a family man, as someone who has tied his entire life to this city. As someone who loves Nikšić infinitely and as someone who loves Montenegro infinitely.

He is recognized for his civic activism, for everything he has done to contribute to positive changes in our city, both now and two, five, and 10 or 15 years ago. Ivan is recognized as someone who has great merits and achievements in the field of culture, tourism, and hospitality in this city. He is recognized as someone who runs a successful business that is one of the positive symbols of our city. Ivan is a representative of urban Nikšić and a descendant of a prominent family from old Nikšić,” said Zirojević, speaking about the leader of the European Alliance list.

Zirojević pointed out that Radojičić is the complete opposite of what the current mayor of Nikšić is.

“In the end, perhaps most importantly in this political sense, Ivan Radojičić, with his name and surname, his character and everything he is, what he does, is the complete opposite of the current mayor of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, that is the best recommendation for Ivan Radojičić to be the leader of the European Alliance list in Nikšić.

The leader of the European Alliance list in Nikšić, Ivan Radojičić, called on all political constituents who announced their fight in this election campaign to be politically correct, that is, at a higher level in both campaigning and fair performance, as well as to speak with arguments about everything they stand for.

"That everyone should make the effort to try to change Nikšić for the better even after the elections, by having someone be a constructive opposition, and hopefully a constructive government," added Radojičić.

He thanked all the people of Nikšić who support him, as he said, come forward and offer to be part of the European Union, emphasizing that it means a lot to him, because as he said he did not expect such a performance and such an eruption of energy that reigns in Nikšić.

"We will try to be everything that the current government in Nikšić was not, and we were dealing with a government that was irresponsible, incompetent and dysfunctional. Also, we were dealing with a government that is ideologically outdated and we were dealing with a government that is buried in its own bureaucracy, or partitocracy," Radojičić emphasized.

According to him, everything that the European Union will fight against and what it will do is in the program, which the teams are working on with dedication, and which will be disclosed to the public in the coming days.

"Niksic is a divided city. If I say that the city is divided, I will not say anything new, because the whole of Montenegro is divided in that social or national sense. However, Niksic is divided in a vulgar, inappropriate and more radical way than other cities in Montenegro, and that is the biggest mistake of the current government," said Radojičić.

Radojičić stated that he would constructively, argumentatively and factually approach everything that was bad.

"We as the European Alliance , and I personally, we will not have a problem with everything that is good, saying that it is good and that it was done properly, but we will be, believe me, very constructively critical of everything that was bad. We will use facts and only facts to attack the area that was not good, and we are ready to extend a hand of cooperation to everyone who shares our values and everyone who wants to change the current government, and I think that is a two-thirds majority at this moment in Nikšić," concluded Radojičić.
