Radonjić: The SDT is responsible for the criminal prosecution of high-ranking public officials, the members of the RTCG Council and the general director are not

The special prosecutor and spokesman of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) Vukas Radonjić said that the prosecutor's office is responsible for criminal prosecution of high-ranking public officials, and that the members of the Council of Radio and Television of Montenegro and the general director of Radio and Television of Montenegro are not.
That is why, he states, after the amendments to the law came into force, the case in which the actions of individual members of the Public Service Council and part of the management regarding the election of the general director of RTCG Boris Raonic, with all the evidence gathered during the investigation, was submitted to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica as actually and locally competent.
The "RTCG" case was returned after one year from the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT).
- For the sake of truthful and complete information to the public, I hereby inform you that the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Special State Prosecutor's Office, which was published in the Official Gazette of Montenegro on June 11 of this year and entered into force on the eighth day from the date of its publication, determined, between among other things, that the Special State Prosecutor's Office is competent for the criminal prosecution of high-ranking public officials, for the criminal offense of abuse of official position, and that the members of the Council of Radio and Television of Montenegro and the general director of Radio and Television of Montenegro are not high-ranking public officials - stated Radonjić in the announcement.
