Radulović: The cancellation of Mišel's visit is a clear message that EU integration does not go with populism and clero-nationalism

The cancellation of the visit of the President of the European Council Charles Michel is a clear message that European integration on the one hand and populism, clero-nationalism and provincial politics on the other do not go together - Branislav Radulović, president of the Association of Lawyers of Montenegro, assessed for Portal Analitika.
All efforts to obtain a positive IBAR, reform the judiciary and improve the rule of law have failed, underlines Radulović, before the provincial "politics" of the defenders of recycled Sešeljism.
- The form, not the content, made Brussels look closer than ever. However, form that is not accompanied by content is only appearance and fiction. "The rule of law" has been replaced by the "right to rule", and all hope for reforms has been destroyed by the "infestation" of populism, recycled nationalism and the hitherto unprecedented devastation of culture and science (Thirteenth of July Award) - he points out.
The idea and hope of change, says Radulović, is reduced to replacements in positions of power and functions, without the content of deviations that made changes inevitable.
- At the same time, in one nation, instead of enlightening and affirming the idea of ​​"all Serbs in one (EU) state", it is infantilely sliding towards the Seseljev model of "all Serbs outside the (European) world". In the end, just as Slobodan Milošević "caught" Montenegro by attacking Dubrovnik in October 1991 and separated it from the rest of the (normal) world, according to the same scenario, his follower dragged Montenegro into new isolation, this time by "fishing" for a story about Jasenovac. Therefore, it becomes clear that Montenegro, once again, like in that unfortunate year of 1991, is again "swimming" in the opposite direction and instead of taking a western course, the winds of other people's interests are sending it to the north - he concluded.
