The President of the Croatian Civic Initiative Adrijan Vuksanović condemned the fact that the Television of Montenegro did not broadcast the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis yesterday.
Vuksanović, who attended the Pope's funeral in the Vatican as a member of the Montenegrin Parliament delegation, says that it is an insult to them.
"The fact that the public service of Montenegro, of all citizens in Montenegro, did not broadcast the funeral of Pope Francis is an inappropriate attitude, not only towards the Catholic community in Montenegro, but also much wider, because we are witnesses that Pope Francis has not only gained the sympathy of Catholics around the world, but also many other people.
He deserved it with his spiritual closeness and his emotion towards marginalized groups in society, and that is why we perceive this as an insult," said Vuksanović in a statement for Antena M.
Let us recall that on St. Peter yesterday, around 250,000 believers and admirers of the image and work of the 266th head of the Catholic Church gathered to send Pope Francis to his eternal rest through prayer and dignified silence.
