SDT forms case against Laković, he says he is ready for a polygraph

The Special State Prosecutor's Office has formed a case to investigate allegations made by MANS Executive Director Vanja Ćalović Marković at the recent parliamentary Security and Defense Committee against the president of that body, Miodrag Laković, Vijesti reported.

The case was formed after MANS officially filed a criminal complaint with the SDT on Thursday, in which they provided a link from the parliamentary Committee held on May 20 this year, where numerous accusations and suspicions can be heard that Ćalović Marković made while explaining why Laković should no longer be at the head of that body.

During the investigative procedure, the SDT should verify the allegations of the executive director of MANS, who claimed at the Committee that Laković, while he was the head of the Anti-Drug Sector of the Police Directorate, turned a blind eye to the overseas cocaine smuggling for years during the rise of the Darko Šarić clan and the late Dragan Dudić Fric.

She also claimed that Laković, while he was a key figure in the Anti-Drug Sector, from 2004 to 2015, failed to provide international partners with information about drug shipments that had been arriving in Kotor by ship for years.

Laković also reacted to the formation of a case in the SDT on the X network, saying that he was at the disposal of the Prosecutor's Office.

"As I saw myself on the cover, I find it appropriate to invite the SDT to thoroughly and objectively verify all of MANS's allegations, and in that sense I am making myself available for a polygraph examination, both on these and any other topic," said Laković.
