At tonight's session, the State Election Commission (SEC) accepted the complaint of Jelena Marković from the list "For a Libertarian Nikšić with Equal Opportunities" and annulled the decision of the local election commission that did not accept the participation of that list in the local election race.
In a decision that "Vijesti" had access to, the SEC ordered the Nikšić Municipal Election Commission (MEK) to re-check the signatures of support of citizens, which the Marković list submitted.
On Monday, the MEK returned her list for the second time for revision, with the explanation that there were not enough signatures of support.
The SEC noted that in its decision to reject the proclamation of the Marković electoral list, the OIK stated that, after checking the 277 submitted signatures, it had determined that the signatures of support from voters who supported that list were repeated, that is, that persons had given their signatures two or more times to the same or another electoral list, that a certain number of voters who had given their support did not reside in the territory of the municipality of Nikšić, and that complete data was not provided for a certain number of persons. The OIK stated in its decision that of the total number of submitted signatures of support for the Marković list, it had been determined that at least 44 signatures of support were missing.
