Member of the European Parliament Tomislav Sokol reacted to yesterday's statement by Deputy Prime Minister Filip Ivanović, who said that the MEP has connections and friendships in the Montenegrin opposition, "so his views should not be surprising".
Speaking to the Mina agency about the debate before the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, Ivanovic said that numerous praises were heard for Montenegro, and referring to Sokol's speech, he said that "Sokol has certain interests in the events in Montenegro".
Sokol told him on X that he has good contacts with all well-intentioned people.
"In Montenegro, these are mostly sovereignists, and some in the government are clearly with serious pro-Moscow and pro-Belgrade players", wrote the MEP from Croatia on the "X" network.
