Prime Minister Milojko Spajić will lead the Montenegrin delegation at the inauguration ceremony of Pope Leo XIV on May 17-19. The formal inaugural mass on the occasion of the appointment of Pope Leo XIV will be held in St. Peter's Square.
American Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost was elected the new pope on May 8, on the second day of the conclave in the Sistine Chapel.
The delegation will also include Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of Montenegro to the Holy See Milica Petrović, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of Montenegro to the Holy See and the S.V.M.R., Head of the Prime Minister's Office Branko Krvavac, and Advisor to the Prime Minister for Foreign Policy Milica Perišić.
