"If Prime Minister Milojko Spajić thinks that someone will calmly watch how the electoral will of the citizens of Budva is being violated and how legal and police violence turns defeat into victory - he is very mistaken.
He and his boss Andrija Mandić should know that they will get an answer in Budva, but also in the rest of Montenegro, because if we allow such shameful behavior, then there is no need for any elections because the state government will obstruct whoever has the majority, if it is not them", says Mirko Stanić, president of the SDP Main Board and representative of the European Union.
As Stanić points out, the citizens of Podgorica have not forgotten the electoral fraud that was staged for them by the new city government, against which 55% of citizens voted, but then, through behind-the-scenes actions, the political minority suddenly became the majority. What the citizens think about such a formation of government, Spajić was able to see for himself a few days ago at a match in Podgorica, adds Stanić.
"Now, we warn them once and for the last time – do not obstruct the Municipality of Budva, do not abuse the Government, the police, ministries and government agencies. Trampling on the free will of citizens and councilors of the Budva Municipal Council will be the last straw in the overflowing cup of misdeeds that you are preparing for us every day. Be very careful what moves you make in the next few days," says Stanić.
