The "Velika plaza or big lie" coalition is organizing a protest rally in front of the Parliament of Montenegro tomorrow regarding the Government's intention to urgently include an agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding the future of Velika plaza on the agenda.
As stated by the coalition, the protest will begin at 9:30 am.
"This is an attempt to push through a multi-billion dollar agreement without a public debate, without transparency and in violation of legal procedures, which could have serious consequences for the public interest and natural resources of Montenegro," they emphasized in a statement.
The rally will, as they say, be attended by representatives of the coalition, environmental and legal experts, and activists who oppose this way of deciding on one of the most valuable natural areas in the country.
The "Big Beach or Big Lie" coalition consists of the Center for Bird Protection and Research (CZIP), NGO EnvPro, NGO Parkovi Dinarid, Center for Investigative Journalism (CINCG), NGO KANA, Dr Martin Schneider-Jacoby Association (MSJA), CEE Bankwatch Network, NGO Montenegrin Society of Ecologists, NGO Green Home, NGO MogUL, Portal Ulcinj info, NGO Network for the Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector (MANS), Biciklo.me, Expeditio, NGO Gradionica, Center for Civic Education (CCE).
