The Appeals Commission overturned Krapović's decision on the termination of General Lazarević's active service

The Appeals Commission of the Government of Montenegro annulled the decision of the Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović, made on September 3, by which he terminated the active service in the Army of Montenegro General Zoran Lazarević as of the following day - September 4, 2024.

By revoking the decision of Minister Krapović, the previous one, which was brought last year by the then Acting Minister, remains in force. of the Minister of Defense Filip Adžić, by which the active service of the current Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Voivodeship was extended until June 8, 2025.

The Government's Appeals Commission assessed that Krapović's decision was in violation of the Law on Administrative Procedure.

Antena M wrote about that move by Minister Krapović, who, later at the press conference, tried to relativize the decision on the termination of General Lazarević's active service, remarking that it is not his responsibility to retire the first man of the Croatian Army.

The lawyers we consulted at the time were resolute in their assessment that Minister Krapović's decision must "fall" and that it represents a serious compromise of lawyers in the Ministry of Defense.
