It is with great sadness that we received the news of the tragic event in Kočani, North Macedonia. The Government of Montenegro is at your disposal to stand by the friendly people of North Macedonia in all necessary ways at this difficult time and we hereby inform the public that Monday, March 17, will be a Day of Mourning in Montenegro, announced Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
“We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with North Macedonia,” he said.
Milatović’s Condolences
“I received the news of the tragic event in the city of Kočani, North Macedonia, with disbelief. On behalf of the citizens of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I extend my most sincere condolences to the families of the victims, to President Gordana Siljanovski Davkova and to all citizens of North Macedonia. "Silently moved by this tragedy, we deeply sympathize and share our grief with our friends in North Macedonia," Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović wrote on X.
Ibrahimović's condolences
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović has expressed his condolences following the fire at a disco in Kočani, North Macedonia.
"With deep sadness and disbelief, I received the news of the terrible fire in Kočani, a tragedy that claimed a large number of lives. I extend my deepest condolences to all who have lost their loved ones, to the people of North Macedonia and to my colleague Timčo Mucunski. We stand with you and share your pain in this very difficult moment. I wish strength and a speedy and successful recovery to those injured," he wrote on X.
