Vuksanović: Our interest is for the Government to be unquestionably pro-Western

The recently held consultations with the President of the State, Jakov Milatović, in addition to the Constitutional category, were also a good opportunity to exchange views, thoughts and to look at the socio-political reality in Montenegro in a different way in anticipation of the formation of the new Government, he said, as a guest on the Morning Program TV7, leader of the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI) Adrijan Vuksanović.
According to him, it was a good opportunity to exchange views, certain disagreements and agreements in an open and honest conversation, as far as is possible in the political world. He rated the conversation as high-quality.
As he said, during the consultations, they highlighted the interests of the party he heads.
It is in our interest that this Government be of an unquestionably pro-Western character - emphasized Vuksanović.
Answering the question of what is the most difficult for Spajić as a mandate holder and what represents the biggest challenge, the leader of HGI said that "politics includes those external turmoils that are always visible, which are understood, which are expected, but also include those that may also reflect a lack of homogeneity."
It is not easy to form a government. Our political scene is not only plural, but divided and opposed in many respects. We need to find a common denominator of all political interests, a thread that connects all these political subjects, and this is what gives additional weight to the mandate, so that the entire situation depends on his ability to solve the complexity in the most acceptable way, which burdens both him and the society we live in - he assessed he.
He added that it is up to the mandate holder to create a concept, reconcile certain non-complementaries in all subjects and for the country to move on.
During the first round of negotiations between Mandator Spajić and the leaders of political entities whose mandates have been verified in the Montenegrin Parliament, Vuksanović said that "during the three-hour conversation, there was no discussion of ministerial positions, nor of personnel in that Government, but more on the level of principles and some orientation in which direction that government should go and lead the country."
It was agreed that the negotiations should be repeated, and it is up to the representative to speak individually with the subjects who were at the table that day. In recent days, the numbers 41, 44 or 49 are often mentioned. What is important from the HGI aspect is that we do not deal with mathematics, but deal with the values we are talking about, and they are the ones that must be an integrative factor that will bring together various various policies and guide society forward - emphasizes Vuksanović.
He noted that this number does not depend on the party he leads.
What depended on us, we did it and thereby showed that we are constructive on the one hand, and on the other hand we showed that we will not rush to power one after the other if it means that we will harm the content of values with which we present ourselves and for which they are the citizens also gave us their trust. What is important is that we still have time to form the executive branch - concluded Vuksanović.
