Leader of the Civic Movement URA, Dritan Abazović, stated in an interview for TV Vijesti that the March 15th protest in Belgrade was the "most beautiful face of Serbia in the last 35 years," and that anyone who used sound weapons against peaceful protesters should be sent to prison.
"What else is there to talk about? It’s against the law, the use of that cannon," Abazović emphasized, noting that he believes "the signature of the regime 100 percent" stands behind it, but could not say with certainty whether it was also the signature of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
The Borba portal reported the reaction of Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vulin, to Abazović's statement.
"Now, by a twist of fate, and of course, after he betrayed the Serbs in Montenegro, Dritan Abazović became the Prime Minister of Montenegro, visited Belgrade, and pitifully, as only a coward can, whined about the need to lift the heightened control on Montenegrin MPs who voted for the resolution on Srebrenica, which declares Serbia as genocidal."
He added that at the time, Abazović "whined" that the ban was preventing his colleagues from visiting properties in Serbia and collecting income, and that he would do everything to allow them to enter "genocidal" Serbia without obstruction.
"If we had kept him a bit longer under enhanced control, he would have withdrawn Kosovo’s recognition and confessed that he’s not Dritan but Dušan. A conman remains a conman," Vulin said.
