Zelensky in Podgorica on May 15, signs security agreement with Milatović

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will arrive on May 15 for an official visit to Montenegro, where he will meet with President Jakov Milatović, the "Dana" portal has learned from well-informed sources.

During the visit, the two leaders will sign a bilateral security agreement, within the broader framework of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO member states.

This is a document that follows the model of security agreements that Ukraine has already concluded with several Western countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy. The aim of these agreements is to provide long-term support to Ukraine in the field of security and defense, through military assistance, training, intelligence cooperation and strengthening the country's resilience in the face of Russian aggression.

With this act, Montenegro will confirm its strong support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, and join the group of NATO members that have already made commitments under the joint declaration of July 2023.

Details of the agreement will be announced after the official signing in Podgorica.
