The insignificant character Marković, who gained military experience as a seasonal worker, then a manager at the Budva cafe Casper, and then at the Queen of Montenegro hotel, is just one of the exponents of the nepotistic politics of the Democrats he represents, announced the Social Democrat MP and representative of the European Union Nikola Zirojević.
The statement states that Marković "while without a single relevant recommendation, covering the position in the Ministry of Defense along party lines, positioned his wife as the head of the National Tourism Organization, and after the "liberation" he put his sister in the Budvanska rivijera HG".
Zirojević, therefore, assesses that there were, apparently, no greater capacities in the Democrats than Marković's family for such responsible positions.
"Given that neither Marković nor the minister hiding behind him dared to publish an official note, i.e. a record of damage to the unmanned aerial vehicle during the performance of a designated task, I am publishing its contents, which completely shatters all their lies and subterfuge," Zirojević states and continues the statement by quoting:
"On 30.10.2024. in the time interval from 12.00 to 13.30, while performing surveillance of the assigned area of Sokolac - Bijelo Polje municipality, the "Belin 5" aircraft crashed. The manner in which the aforementioned event occurred is that the aircraft with serial number 40082 was in normal flight mode returning to the starting point. At that moment, the VCG Bell 412 helicopter flew over the landing point of the unmanned aerial vehicle and then, the helicopter landed about 50 meters behind our control position. During the helicopter's flight, Lt. A.D. (name known to the author of the statement) was in radio contact on frequency 133 000 with the pilot of the Bell 412 and gave him warnings about the presence of the BLP in the airspace. The pilot of the Bell 412 understood the warnings that he had violated the BLP flight zone and that it was not possible to land there. However, the assistant director of the police for special purposes R.M. (name known to the author of the statement) ordered the pilot via mobile phone to land, so that he could board.
Then, the Bell 412 helicopter landed about 50 meters behind our position for controlling the BLP. When landing the BLP at the starting point, there was a loss of connection between the control station with the BLP and the aircraft began to freely fall towards the ground from a height of about 20 meters and then we tried to take over manual control of the aircraft (the BLP did not respond to commands). When the BLP fell, the engines were still running because the aircraft did not (for some reason) read data on its current altitude. Then all four landing legs were damaged and the upper part of the right wing cracked. The BLP camera, the propulsion engine, the four VTOL engines and other parts of the aircraft did not suffer any damage. When we established that the main components of the aircraft were in good condition, we made another flight with the aim of reconnaissance of the assigned area.
During that flight, there were no problems with the engines and aerodynamics of the aircraft and when landing the BLP, we used the method of manually catching it”.
Zirojević then asks if Marković now understands why he asked this question to the Minister of Internal Affairs? And what are we going to do now, considering the fact that you openly and unscrupulously lied to the Montenegrin public?
"For the sake of the public, the contract for the procurement of Belin V aircraft was signed in August 2023 with the Slovenian Ministry of Defense, when 6 of these unmanned aerial vehicles were purchased for the needs of the Armed Forces of Montenegro. Now, when we are done with the damage to the aircraft, answer the following 2 questions for me and the public:
1. How did you acquire Škoda vehicles for security without a tender, one of which ended up with Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić?
2. How much money was spent on the transportation and security (if we can call it that) of the family of the Minister of Defense, which is a practice that no minister before him has used? How much money was paid to the sergeant who performs this job based on daily wages and overtime hours and on what basis was she sent to the aforementioned task?", Zirojević states, asking that this time "someone at least seriously" answer him.
