Social Democrat MP Nikola Zirojević met, during his stay in Sarajevo, with the vice-president of the Democratic Action Party and a delegate in the Bosniak Club of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, Aida Obuća.
During the meeting, Obuća and Zirojević emphasized the importance of maintaining good neighborly relations between the two countries which, in the previous period, were dominantly damaged by the presence of certain officials from Montenegro at the celebration of the unconstitutional day of Republika Srpska, January 9," said the SD.
Both sides, as stated in the announcement, agree that such behavior of some Montenegrin officials must have met with clear condemnation from both sides - both Montenegrin and Bosnian, and that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Filip Ivanović, was obliged to send an apology to the Ambassador of BiH in Podgorica, as well as to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Zirojević informed Obuća about the initiative that, as a member of the Committee for International Relations and Emigrants, he submitted on behalf of the Social Democrats, for the control hearing of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro regarding these events," they said.
Obuća and Zirojević agreed that Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina should, as was the case until recently, be a firm support for each other and an example of good neighborly relations in the region.
