Čović: How much is the lawlessness of Raonic and the RTCG Council costing us?

SOURCE: ANTENA M - WRITTEN BY: SRĐAN ČOVIĆ, EMPLOYEE OF RTCG GDNUS
Boris Raonic effectively defends the seat acquired by unhealthy ambition, reckless behavior and violation of the law from the effects of justice, says Srđan Čović, a candidate in the competition for the election of the general director of the Public Service.
The Higher Court in Podgorica, let's recall, confirmed the decision of the Basic Court according to which Raonic was illegally re-elected as the General Director of the Public Service.
The higher court in Podgorica issued a final decision obliging RTCG to pay Srđan Čović 437 euros in court costs related to the lawsuit in which it was concluded that Boris Raonic was illegally re-elected as general director of RTCG on June 1, 2023, despite the clear guidelines to choose from among the remaining candidates who meet the legal requirements.
- A few months ago, the High Court issued a final decision for the illegal election of Raonic from August 6, 2021. The costs that RTCG had to pay were 950 euros.
It must be admitted that Raonic effectively defends the chair acquired by unhealthy ambition, reckless behavior and violation of the law from the effects of justice, prolonging the litigation for three years. The total price, a real trifle - a third of Raonic's illegal monthly salary, the highest in the public sector in Montenegro - Čović stated in the announcement.
As he says, however, the financial obligations arising from litigation are not paid by him, but by RTCG, so all citizens of Montenegro.
- But it is not only the costs of protecting the image, misdeeds, inexperience and lawlessness of Raonic and the RTCG Council. In the last three years, three lawyers have received almost 90,000 euros from RTCG and the citizens of Montenegro in order to regularly, in the High Court, lose disputes produced by the illegal Raonic, supported by Drljević's Council.
From this perspective, Raonic's statements from April 2022 about "journalists and staff of the Public Service, relieved of all pressures and guidelines, except for those required by the Code of Ethics of Journalists and domestic legislation," look grotesque.
I hope that the relief from ethics, procedures and the law will finally become operationally interesting in the ODT, after the historic decision of the ubiquitous PR of the Prosecutor's Office to remove the case from his jurisdiction, because the General Director of the RTCG and the members of the Council, according to his interpretation, are not high public officials despite the 20 million budget entrusted to them.
But, I guess, low - stated Čović.
