Đukanović: The one who, in the handcuffs on other people's hands, over whom he rejoices, does not recognize his handcuffs tomorrow makes a big mistake.

The former President of the State, the Government and the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Milo Đukanović assessed in an interview for Antenu M that political revanchism is on the scene in Montenegro as a new page in the tradition of Montenegrin revenges.
We live in a highly poisoned atmosphere. An atmosphere that says that the cherry blossoms in Montenegro will continue! Why am I warning about it? Montenegrin society is a society of vigilantes. This is not characteristic only of Albanian communities, which are mostly associated with blood revenge. We should remember that in the heart of Montenegro, in Katunska nahija, blood feuds between certain Old Montenegrin families have been going on for more than 200 years - said Đukanović.
Those who do not know this, he points out, do not understand how dangerous it is when the only policy after coming to power becomes revanchism.
Revanchism is just a political name for revenge. This means that there is no awareness that a line should be drawn under the Montenegrin practice of revenge. The one who is doing what he is doing now does not realize that he has already started a new page of Montenegrin revenges. And he is making a big mistake if he doesn't recognize his handcuffs tomorrow in those handcuffs he gloats over, on other people's hands - said Đukanović.
