The European Parliament Rapporteur for Montenegro, Marjan Šarec, congratulated on Independence Day.
“Dear citizens of Montenegro,
19 years ago, Montenegro, having regained its independence, embarked on a new path. The citizens decided that they wanted to live European values. It was the beginning of a long journey, which is still ongoing and is not at all easy and full of challenges. A great achievement was achieved by membership in the NATO alliance, and today the goal and task is membership in the EU. Only by joining the European Union will you be able to use all the benefits that membership provides.
