Šehović claims that the report in the "Stanovi" case is a cheap marketing trick by Abazović

Social Democrat (SD) functionary Damir Šehović made a statement today in the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) regarding the "Stanovi" affair, and on that occasion he pointed out that he has no responsibility or blame for his membership in the Commission that dealt with housing issues.
Šehović's lawyer, Nikola Martinović, told reporters in front of the SDT that his client said that this criminal complaint is part of political folklore and a cheap marketing trick by Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, with which he is trying to raise his ratings before the upcoming elections.
Of course, he gave an explanation for all the unexplained circumstances that may cause any doubt among the state authorities. He explained how the Commission worked and the most important thing - he gave the background of the criminal complaint, which is that it is about helping the political campaign for the upcoming elections created by the outgoing Prime Minister Dritan Abazović - said Martinović.
He also announced that Šehović asked the acting prosecutor to make a decision in this legal matter so that all the facts would be absolutely clarified and the burden would be removed from his name.
He feels like an honorable man who did not commit any criminal act - Martinović emphasized.
The apprentice denied guilt
Earlier today, former minister and member of the Government Commission for the allocation of apartments, Budimir Šegrt, was heard.
According to unofficial information, the Apprentice denied committing the crime of abuse of official position. He and his lawyers did not make a statement to the media after the hearing.
Previously, Prime Minister in technical mandate Dritan Abazović filed a criminal complaint against Šegrt, the then president.
The complaint was also filed against the Commission members Predrag Bošković, Suad Numanović, Dragica Sekulić, Damir Šehović, Ivan Brajović, Dražen Miličković and Osman Nurković.
