The political scene of Montenegro in recent years has unfortunately witnessed the affirmation of retrograde phenomena, mythomania and historical revisionism and the conscious collapse of the progressive substance of society, said the president of the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD) Damir Šehović at last night's session of the Capital City board of that party.
He said that seriousness, decency and focus on numerous socio-political and socio-economic challenges are needed in the public space more than ever, and added that this is exactly what the Social Democrats of Podgorica, led by Boris Mugoš, are recognized for.
Šehović, as announced by the SD, also said that he is proud of the fact that the party on the political scene has shown itself to be a party that is consistent with the programmatic principles of civic and Euro-Atlantic Montenegro; which inherits the culture of dialogue and emancipated behavior; whose numerous legal initiatives aimed at protecting and improving the standards of citizens (students, university graduates, domestic producers, pensioners, socially vulnerable categories...) were almost unanimously adopted in the parliament in the past few years.
Thank you for your undivided support in our efforts to significantly strengthen the idea of a civil, more economically developed, socially just and progressive Montenegro in our country through the creation of a new model of cooperation with programmatically and ideologically similar parties, associations and prominent individuals. The talks on that topic are coming to an end, they are taking place in an extremely constructive and positive positive atmosphere, because we are all aware of the numerous essential challenges in our country and the need to build a credible political offer together - pointed out Šehović.
President of the Capital City Committee of SD and vice-president of the Social Democrats of Montenegro, Boris Mugoša, welcomed those present and praised the work of the councilors of that party in the city parliament, pointing out that the focus of the work of the Podgorica committee is proposing concrete measures to make Podgorica a better and better place for the lives of all its citizens. and citizens.
According to Mugoša, this means solving numerous communal and traffic challenges in the capital, improving the business environment and creating new jobs, supporting socially vulnerable categories, more adequate support for athletes and sports teams, etc. He, as the head of the caucus of SD deputies in the state parliament, expressed his gratitude for the recognition of the results and the way the caucus works.
Mugoša also pointed out - the positive reactions of a large number of citizens to the idea of cooperation with programmatically and ideologically similar parties, associations and prominent individuals, which is aimed at improving citizens' standards and strengthening the fundamental values of civic and European Montenegro -.
The session of the Podgorica board of the SD was organized as part of the activities of board tours and discussions with the membership, in the context of designing a new model of cooperation between related parties and individuals, with the aim of strengthening social democratic and general civic thought in Montenegro.
