Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF) announced that they used combat drones to destroy a Russian Buk-M3 missile system and a multiple rocket launcher Uragan-1, the Ukrainian military said.
The Buk-M3 is one of the key systems of the Russian air defense system, and is used to strike targets in the air, on land and at sea. The destroyed system, according to Ukrainian estimates, is worth about $45 million.
A video of the attack was published on the official channels of the Ukrainian army.
"During a reconnaissance mission in one of the operational zones, our soldiers spotted the Buk-M3 and Uragan-1 systems in combat positions. After quick preparation, we launched combat drones and accurately hit the targets. The Buk-M3 was destroyed along with ammunition," the SOF command team said.
Recall, the Special Forces Command announced yesterday that soldiers from one of their units killed eight Russian soldiers during a reconnaissance mission behind the battle line.
