Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated today that on January 11, the "first presentation of the so-called Vojvodina platform" is expected, the goal of which is to take away part of the power it has in Vojvodina from Serbia, in order to return to the "time before the yogurt revolution".

"This is a serious attempt, we must not oppose it with force, but with knowledge and going to the people to explain what is happening", said Vučić, who participated in the Serbian government session, at the invitation of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević.

Speaking also about the political situation, he pointed out that the pressure from Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti is increasing because he is trying to remove the Serbian List from the upcoming elections there.

"He considers it the main opponent, a disruptive factor, unlike many other lists", Vučić stated.

Vučić announced that the Serbian Parliament's agenda will soon include the election of new ministers, replacing Goran Vesić and Tomislav Momirović, who resigned after the tragedy in Novi Sad.

He also said that he intends to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas in the Hilandar Monastery, together with Minister Nenad Popović.

At the same time, a statement was made by the LSV, founded by Nenad Čanak and now led by Bojan Kostreš.

The League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina - Vojvođani (LSV) has issued a statement urging the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, to stop threatening teachers and students who are participating in school blockades and supporting the student protest. In the statement, the party recalls that the threats of dismissals are from the "already well-known radical kitchen" and follow in the footsteps of Šešelj's persecution of university professors in 1998.

"Vučević must be clear that citizens will not allow the dismissal of educational workers and that they will defend their constitutional and legal rights to freedom of opinion," LSV states.

The party believes that Miloš Vučević should leave his position, along with all members of his cabinet.

"They are civil servants who do not want to work in the interests of citizens and it is quite clear that they must leave," LSV-Vojvođani concludes.
