Kotor ready for Boka Night 2025: Sea of light, music and tradition

One of the most beautiful and most visited events on the Montenegrin coast – Boka Night, will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, starting at 9 pm. The traditional festival, which has the status of an intangible cultural asset of national importance, brings a combination of music, light and sea, with the participation of the Kotor City Music and the sailboats of the Sailing Club "Lahor".

As stated in the announcement from the cultural center, the audience and the jury can expect a parade of 36 decorated boats, which will compete for prizes with a total fund of 3,000 euros. The decision on the winners will be made by the jury consisting of: Vladimir Perović (director-president), Tatjana Dlabac (dean of the Faculty of Maritime Studies) and Ružica Rebronja (painter).

After the announcement of the winners, visitors can expect a spectacular musical fireworks display from the sea, followed by a rich concert program in the Old Town:

The organizer of the event is the Cultural Center “Nikola Đurković” Kotor, with the support of the Kotor Tourism Organization and the Municipality of Kotor, as well as numerous media sponsors.
