The representative of the Montenegrin minority in the Republic of Albania, Mr. Marinko Ćulafić was invited by the mayor of the municipality of Elbasan, Mr. Gledian Latja on the occasion of the "Summer Day" celebration. This holiday is a traditional holiday that has been celebrated for centuries in this city located in central Albania. At the traditional table were also the president of Albania, members of parliament, ministers and other officials. Many families of Montenegrin origin live in Elbasan, settled mainly after World War II.
On the same day, Ćulafić was invited to a conversation with the excellent students of the History Club at the Turgut Ozal high school. Ćulafić introduced the students to the Committee for National Minorities and the importance of this institution, the law on the protection of minorities, the history of families of Montenegrin origin, the regions where they live, traditions, customs, etc. Also present were the meritorious teachers of the history subject of this school, Mrs. Haxhire Leshi and Mr. Ilir Velo.
