AUTHOR:M.J. GDNUS

German police said today that they had arrested 57 people during a rally in Berlin on Saturday in support of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, adding that 17 police officers were injured in incidents with protesters.

Police said on the social network X that some demonstrators disrupted public order, throwing bottles, while others shouted anti-Semitic slogans and displayed symbols of banned organizations, designated as terrorist.

Despite warnings, the organizers of the rally failed to restore order among the participants, the police added, stating that they were forced to disperse the crowd from the rally, which was held in parallel with the Pride Parade in the German capital.
