Živković: We will expand the repertoire in the Parliament, Milatović has wasted his credibility

AUTHOR:M.J. GDNUS

The opposition will continue to block the work of the Parliament until the situation with the Constitutional Court is restored to its original state, says the president of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Danijel Živković.

"Until things return to their original state, there will be no session of the Parliament," he is categorical.

The repertoire, Živković added in an interview on TV E, will be expanded.

The outcome in Podgorica is not unexpected for him.

"We knew who we were dealing with and who we were talking to about the potential formation of the government. From the start, we said that we did not want to be the government at any cost and that we would stick to our principles," he added.

The only thing, he says, is that it functions under pressure and blackmail, and that is how the Movement for Podgorica - believes Živković - changed its position overnight.

"Do I need to remind you of what the representatives of the Movement for Podgorica said before and after the elections, or what Jakov Milatović said about how the state government functions," he emphasized.

He expects the government in Podgorica to last shorter than the previous one.

"He has used up his credibility and integrity. He has returned to the initial settings and is cooperating with those he spoke about and doing more difficult things than the opposition," Živković believes.

He noted that a large part of the public is demanding the resignations of the Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović and the Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Aleksa Bečić due to the tragedy in Cetinje, in which 13 people were killed. He pointed out that no one in Montenegro wants to take responsibility for anything.

- As for the tragedy in Cetinje: a large part of the public is demanding their resignations as a measure of moral and political responsibility, and the state has not learned anything as a lesson from the previous tragic event. This is a moral act, where anyone who respects themselves would say - maybe I couldn't have influenced it, but this is a moral act - Živković emphasized, adding that those in charge, instead, are holding on to their armchairs and targeting everyone who thinks differently.

He assessed that sooner or later they will have to bear the burden of responsibility.

- They are targeting them in the most mundane ways, they are doing it to civil activists. I cannot understand that armchairs are so important at this moment, when the situation in the security sector is like this. The story of who failed in the system, how all this could have happened in Cetinje, and who is responsible, will only be told in public. This is about human relations - Živković stated.

He says that there is nothing hidden behind the protests that would represent a political background.

- This is a reflex of citizens who have stood up and who say enough is enough. Responsibility is necessary, and they will bear it sooner or later - Živković is clear.
